I have said something similar to my husband in moments of extreme frustration and emotion. Thankfully, he doesn't listen.

My wife just told me to move out...
by nolongerconfused inbecause of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.
she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

Freinds, how many do you have ?
by Satanus ini'll start.
i'm low on friends, for various reasons.
scientists poke their calculators into everything, and the number of friends we can have is one of them.

I have one real friend who I can trust with anything - he's proven that he'll be there for me no matter what. I have coworkers, casual acquaintances, and a few people I feel comfortable with socially. I can talk to anyone, strike up a conversation with just about any random person I encounter. But I am really really bad at developing deeper relationships.

get a post office box for mail, put in a change of address order, and change your cell number. They don't deserve to be able to reach you.

I used to occasionally attend meetings by myself when I was traveling for work. Most of the time, at least a few people would approach me with greetings and small talk. Once I was invited out to dinner after the book study meeting. I visited several congregations in Louisville, KY, Danville, KY, Bowling Green, KY, and Nashville, TN between 1999 and 2005. After 2005, I quit going to meetings when I traveled.

that's what happens when people are constantly told that they aren't capable of thinking for themselves - they become unable to do so.

Once again, WTS reminds you that you are a *bleeping* idiot
by LostGeneration ingems from the latest km on how to behave at the 2013 dcs..... .
if possible, care for restroom needs before the start of the session.
turn off your cell phone so that you will not be distracted by calls or texts or be tempted to text others during the program.

I'm allowed 2 15 minute breaks on the clock every day. Only my lunch hour is off the clock. Plus, I can eat and drink while I work any time I want to. And no one monitors my bathroom habits. Funny how the government treats me better than the borg did.

It has it's place, does it? Would that place be the living room couch, the kitchen table, the shower? Didn't think so - in Watchtower land, the only acceptable place for sex is in the dark, in the bed, missionary style, with no real foreplay or enjoyment.

Distrust and paranoia among faders
by cedars inhi guys.
i'm interested in knowing whether any other faders out there ever find themselves feeling a little paranoid about establishing contact with other faders or former jws, just in case the unthinkable happens and things turn sour.. personally, i'm now fairly comfortable with the idea that i will be disfellowshipped or disassociated within the next year or so.
i see it as inevitable, and an essential transition in order to do what i want to do with my life.

I've been pretty open on here, from posting my picture to saying exactly what congregation I attended. I may have even publicly posted my name. But I have nothing to lose, none of the local dubs matter to me and my only dub family members live several hundred miles away and we never had a close relationship anyway. It's totally different for people who have something to lose.
